Notice of Special Requirements for Trade Recognition Australia (TRA)
Recently the TRA requirements have been changed.
The Australian School for Tourism and Hotel Management is governed by the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF). This framework has strict requirements on how ASTHM issues qualifications and other official documents.
TRA's requirements are separate from any requirements applied by AQTF. This means that if you are applying for TRA you may need to consider requesting a special print of your “Record of Achievement” to meet the specific requirements of TRA.
In order to assist students applying for TRA the school is happy to address the specific needs of TRA by supplying students with a customised version of their Record of Achievement. A reprint fee of $20.00/page will apply.
Please see our Student Services Manager to verify if you require this document or not. In preparation for this meeting you need to bring with you:
1. Your Record of Achievement
2. Proof of your TRA application (ie. your TRA client number or application form)
3. Completed Special Print Request form
If it is verified that you will require a special print, please be aware that this may take up to 10 working days to process.
Cookery and Patisserie Students

Do you need to catch up on Re-assessments?
Extra theory tutoring is available on Fridays from 10.00 – 12.00.
Extra Practical tutoring is available on Fridays from 8.00 – 13.00.
Bookings for extra tuition must be made with CHEF MAX and BRUCE one week in advance.
There are also new opportunities to catch up on any outstanding units that need to be re-assessed. (It doesn’t matter what unit!)
You can now do practical re-assessments fortnightly on Fridays until the end of term.
Bookings for practical re-assessments need to be booked one week in advance through Student Services using the normal procedures.
