The school has a Student Misbehaviour Policy to assist the school in dealing with a range of cases including minor cases of inappropriate behaviour to more serious cases of misbehaviour.
The following is a set of guidelines are published to assist student in understanding this policy and the broad actions considered to be Inappropriate Behaviour or Misbehaviour.
Inappropriate Behaviour We may choose to temporarily suspend a student’s enrolment if the school deems the student’s behaviour to be unacceptable for an educational setting. This may include but is not limited to: i. Continuously talking and interrupting teaching sessions ii. Causing disruption to others by speaking out of turn iii. Distracting other students iv. Running/chasing around the confines of the school premises. v. Displaying defiant, cheeky or sulky behaviours vi Coming to school without items as required by course guides and lecturers vii Littering or consuming food and beverage in unauthorised areas
Students displaying Inappropriate behaviour as outlined above may have their enrolment suspended until such time as the school is satisfied that the behaviour of the student will be improved to the satisfaction of the school.
Misbehaviour For cases considered to be Misbehaviour we may choose to cancel a student’s enrolment. Actions considered to be Misbehaviour may include but are not limited to: i. Verbal abuse of another student or teacher ii Assault on another pupil or teacher iii Stealing, ranging from minor pilfering to serious theft iv Bullying v Damage to or defacing school property vi Acts of Graffiti vii Non-payment of tuition fees viii Rough behaviour including; fighting, kicking, punching, biting, spitting, pushing, bad language, shoving, name calling ix Stalking x Cheating or Plagiarism xi Computer virus infection or spam activity
Students displaying any act considered to be Misbehaviour as outlined above may have their enrolment cancelled.
Please note that cancelling a student’s enrolment for any student studying on a Student Visa requires the school to report this to the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC). All such cancellations will also affect the student visa.
