- Accessing sites considered as pornographic or any other illegal sites
- Downloading hacker utilities, application serials or any other illegal activities
- Attempting to access the Server and change network settings
- Attempting to access the operating or system files at any workstation
NOTE: Should your account be disabled for any of the above reasons, you will be required to request and explain in writing to the Managing Director reasons for your actions and each request will be considered by the School’s Management Committee prior to your account being reinstated. The school reserves the right NOT to reinstate your account.

2.2 ASTHM has implemented an Internet Control System which applies to both fixed desktop PCs provided by the school for students’ usage and for Laptop or Wireless Handheld devices supplied or used by the students. The free volume usage allocated to each student is fifty (50) megabytes per month with an automatic top-up of another 50MB occurring on the 1st of every month. This allowance is accrual based - i.e. unused portions of monthly volume are not forfeited.

2.3 A student who exceeds this allowance on any given month will be denied Internet access. However, they can purchase a prepaid $10 voucher available from Student Services. This voucher will allow them to top up their Internet volume allowance with another 100MB.
NOTE: Students will not be charged for or have Internet volume debited from their account for normal day-to-day curriculum based Internet browsing, i.e. www.asthm.com.au and any educational or government related web sites are excluded from this policy and are free to students.

Serious breaches of the above may lead to legal action being initiated against the student concerned.
